No person fails or succeeds in a vacuum.

Little Sisters Fund puts the girl at the center of our work, but believes that girls deserve strong and supportive families, school environments, and communities.

Counseling and Awareness Raising

This program addresses challenges girls may face socially. Topics covered include the child marriage, women’s rights, and how to identify and avoid potential traffickers, among others. All girls receiving scholarships benefit from this program.

We believe that for girls to develop into well-rounded people, a concerted effort must be made by all connected to her: family, teachers, the community, and above all, the girl herself. By involving parents, teachers, and school management in regular meetings, we aim to spread advocacy and support for girls’ education and women’s rights throughout the community. We see the ripple effect in many ways: school leaders take on greater advocacy roles in the community, some parents commit to matching our scholarship and educating their other children, and others have given up alcohol and earned new jobs.
