World Poetry Day

World Poetry Day

On World Poetry Day, it is a day to reflect on the power of language and the full development of your creative abilities. UNESCO created this holiday with the aim of supporting linguistic diversity through poetic expression and increasing the opportunity for endangered languages to be heard. In order to spotlight the unique talents of our students on this day, we would like to share 2 poems from our Little Sisters.

Here is Savyata’s poem about living in the present moment:

Here is Jasmine’s poem about Little Sister’s Fund and the effect it has had on her in both Nepalese and English: Jasmine Chaulagain's Nepali Poem Translation .jpeg-page0001

Jasmine Chaulagain's Nepali Poem Translation .jpeg-page0002We are so proud of these girls for their language and creative skills. We aim to contribute to the development of a more equitable, just, and prosperous world where all children can claim their right to education and marginalization does not occur on the basis of gender and it starts with girls like these. We aim not only to give these girls education, but also mentoring, health supplies, scholarships, and community support so that they can decide their future. See more on how you can help here.
